Shavon N. Taylor is a Playwright, Director, Producer, and Adjunct Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies and Business. She loves theater and has been in numerous plays. Through the arts, Shavon brings messages of hope and inspiration to her audiences. She remains grounded in her belief that she can do all things through Christ who strengthens her (Phil.4:13).
A native of Chicago, IL—Shavon loves her family’s hometown: Hazlehurst, MS where she spent most of her youth and learned a key life lesson about hospitality and love! She graduated from Dunbar Vocational High School (Chicago, IL), Jackson State University (Jackson, MS), and Roosevelt University (Chicago, IL). She enjoys teaching, reading, live theater, music, and traveling. She loves nurturing finer womanhood by mentoring youth, teens, and young adults. She is the proud mother of one son—Micah to whom she dedicates this book. She dedicates her life’s work to her parents—George and Elizabeth and grandparents: George and Mary. Shavon’s life’s purpose is to teach and inspire. She has a strong passion for strengthening families through her artwork. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
